How do I find a coach?
With any successful partnerships, the relationship between a coach and client is a vital component of the coaching process. It is this relationship that will provide the foundation to move towards change in your life.
With so many coaches to choose from, how do you pick the one who will best fit your needs? I recommend by getting referrals from people whom you trust (i.e. friends, family members, coworkers, etc).

You can look here:
  • International Coaching Federation
  • Seattle Coach

Choose a couple of coaches to compare and arrange a time to meet with them. Most coaches will offer an initial 15 minute “meet and greet” session to potential clients. This initial session is an opportunity to talk about the issues you want to address in coaching and to interview the coach.
Here are some questions to ask a coach:
  • What do you believe is crucial for change to occur in people’s lives?
  • What is your approach to coaching?
  • How do you see your role as a coach?
  • What brought you to be a coach?
  • How do you handle issues or questions about the coaching relationship?

Other important questions to consider after talking with the coach:
  • How did I feel about the chemistry between myself and the coach?
  • Do I feel the “style” of the coach would benefit my growth process? Does the coach have areas of expertise?
  • What kind of professional credentials does this coach have?
